Volcano Videos

We now know that our planets crust is divided into sections called plates. We know that the slow movement of these plates is responsible for both volcanoes and earthquakes. We know that volcanoes are responsible for the formation of extrusive igneous rocks. So here are some videos of volcanoes!

The eclipse was not as spectacular as the one in 2007, primarily due to clouds but I was happy to learn that so many of you were able to view it without having to stay up until 3:00AM

Collaboration and the Lunar Eclipse

Ms. Ingley and I were collaborating on our fourth and fifth grade Science Lessons. We were discussing notebooks, portfolios, and our blog. While we were comparing notes, Ms. Ingley remarked that Mr. Adams had fascinating information about the upcoming lunar eclipse.
The next lunar eclipse visible from Berkeley will occur on Wednesday February 20, 2008. It will be visible from Western Europe, Africa, and Asia on February 21, Ms. Ingley's birthday.
